Why You Must Keep Going

Is there something you’ve been working towards that seems to be going nowhere?

I know how you feel. Sometimes my ego gets the best of me and I find myself embarrassed to say I’ve been blogging for almost 4 years. Although there have been some celebratory moments, I feel like I really haven’t seen the growth in my blog that I’d hope to have until this year.  Even now, it’s slow and steady, but things are happening.

Today, I’m here to remind you to keep going. There are a million reasons you can tell yourself (or other people can tell you) why it won’t work, why you’re not good enough, or why people won’t like it. But if you believe in yourself and keep working at it, eventually you’ll succeed. It will happen if you believe it will happen.

Persevering doesn’t mean doing the same thing over and over. The road of perseverance is windy, bumpy, and will almost certainly require you to correct course a time (or five). The point in continuing on is that you adapt and learn as you grow. You figure out what works and what doesn’t and know that that’s just part of the process. Because of that very process, you’ll be better, smarter, and more resilient down the road.

Remember that the voices of doubt in your head or from others are just noise. You can choose to listen to them – or not. If quitting feels peaceful to you, then that’s totally fine. You have to do what’s right for you. But if you really want this, keep going. Trust yourself. Trust the process. Trust the universe.

Have faith, my friend. Persistence, belief, and hard work pays off. You’re on your way.
