to my husband

I don’t even know how to gather the words to tell you how proud I am of you. Ever since you came home from Iowa in 2009 and started EMT school, you’ve been completely dedicated to your dream. If there’s one thing I’ve learned about you based on our relationship, it’s that you’re the most loyal and dedicated person I know. And that doesn’t just apply to our relationship, but to everything you commit to. Watching you work so hard to achieve this goal has been proof that if you work hard and believe in your dreams, anything is possible.

I think the thing I’m most proud of are the genuine relationships you’ve built with everyone you’ve worked with. I don’t think I’ve come across anyone who has had bad things to say about you. You are really just a good person and an amazing human being, and your character has shone through throughout this process. You’ve gained so much confidence in the past few years, but still carry yourself with humility and a willingness and eagerness to learn. I feel incredibly blessed to be able to share this crazy life with you. You keep me sane and grounded and somehow always make me laugh, even in the worst situations. I’m excited for this new adventure and for our future. I will always be here supporting you and cheering you on. Congratulations – the fire service is lucky to have you. I love you more than you know. Infinity plus one. ;)
