A few weekends ago, Seth and I took a weekend trip up to Portland to visit Crystalin and Mike. I’ve missed her dearly and wanted to visit and knew that if we didn’t do it before baby, it wasn’t going to happen for awhile. It was so good to see them and catch up on everything. They’ve created quite a beautiful little life up there. On the day we got there, they adopted a rescue puppy they named Riley! He is the cutest little thing and even though Lola wasn’t quite sure what to think of him at first, it looks like they’re good ol’ BFFs now. I’m so happy we got to meet their new baby!

One of the things we did while we were there was visit the Woodenshoe Tulip Farm. It was gorgeous! Definitely make the visit if you’re in the area. We got really lucky and had clear, 70 degree weather the whole time we were there.

Here are a few other places we checked out that are worth visiting if you’re in town:

Blue Star Donuts // The most scrumptious donuts ever that are made with real, high-quality ingredients.

Salt & Straw // The best ice cream. We actually didn’t eat here in Portland, but we did when we were down in Venice and it’s amazing. The honey lavender ice cream is to die for.

Good Coffee // The cutest little spot for a cup of joe.

10 Barrel Brewing Co. // We popped in here for some drinks (lemonade for me!) before heading to lunch. They have the coolest rooftop bar/eating area that was perfect catching an afternoon drink and some sun.

Oven and Shaker // After drinks at 10 Barrel, we had lunch here, which was delish. We got the spicy salami pizza and highly recommend it. Also, the bruschetta is a must!

Andina // We had Friday night reservations here and it was so. good. They had vegan options for Crystalin and then Mike, Seth, and I shared a bunch of different plates. Everything was amazing, but the empanadas were my favorite!

Overall, we loved Portland and thought it was a really cool city. Seth and I both loved the brick buildings downtown and the fact that there were so many good places to eat. We’ll definitely be back!
