When it comes to my home decor preferences, I feel like my taste is very eclectic. It’s almost as if a room would reflect my indecisiveness. I love the airiness of a clean white room but love the character more rustic and industrial pieces add to a room. I’m also very drawn to color. I think my home decor style reflects my personal style in that I don’t like any look to reflect too much of one thing. What I mean is, if I have a girly outfit on, I like to balance it with something harder such as studded bracelets or an edgy pair of heels. If I’m wearing more a boyish outfit like a button up and boyfriend jeans, I might wear bright lipstick, sparkly shoes, or an arm full of jewels. For interiors, I tend to feel the same way which works since I like so many different styles and since it allows me to balance masculine and feminine and not trap Seth in a ultra girly home. I tend to like more rustic furniture with a few more girly decorations such as a sparkly perfume holder or fur pillow. Or a mostly neutral room with pops of bright colors. For me it’s about contrast and balance. Putting this into practice is definitely the hardest part. Since moving into our apartment, I’ve realized how much of a process decorating and personalizing your home really is. It definitely takes patience, and I’m not sure it’s something that can ever really be finished.
