i do tuesday: our wedding

Whew! That was a lot of pictures. Choosing which ones to post on here was really hard, especially because there were over 1,000 to choose from. I have to give a HUGE thank you to our photographer turned friend, Kelly, and her husband, Rhett, who assisted her for the day. I honestly can’t say enough good things or adequately express my gratitude to them. Obviously Kelly is amazingly talented and has quite an eye for photography. Her and Rhett were both amazing to work with. They made everything so easy and natural. They were right up in there on the dance floor yet it never felt like they were in the way. It was more like they were part of the party – guests dancing the night away, but secretly taking photos. I really don’t think it would have been the same without them. They were so fun, and so many of our guests told us how wonderful they were. Beyond all that though, Kelly and Rhett are both just amazing people. I want to have another wedding just so they can photograph it.
I really can’t put into words what a perfect day it was. Not everything went according to plan, but overall things went smoothly. What I most surprised by was the overwhelming outpouring of love. It’s incredibly difficult to explain because it’s something you feel. It’s like the love was potent. I know it’s so cheesy so say that, but I don’t know how else to explain it. My favorite photos are the ones of Seth and I in the fields. They turned out beautiful, but mostly they remind me of how blissfully happy those moments were. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so peaceful. For anyone yet to have a wedding, I would highly recommend a private “first look”, taking group photos before the ceremony, and using time after the ceremony to take photos alone with your groom. Those quiet moments by ourselves were among the happiest and they really allowed us to enjoy each other and reflect on the fact that we just got married. I will never forget that feeling.
Thank you Kelly and Rhett (that’s them below)! We are forever grateful to you guys.
And thank you to our guests who showered us with so. much. love.
