Instead of being thankful for one thing today, I’m thankful for a whole slew of things.
I’m thankful for Thanksgiving.
I’m glad we have a holiday that is about giving thanks rather than giving and getting presents. Christmas is my favorite holiday, but it’s nice to have one holiday that’s all about spending time with the people you love. And eating. That’s good too.
I’m thankful for fall.
It’s one of my favorite seasons. I mean, it’s just ridiculously beautiful.
I’m thankful for hot water and electricity.
They make life easier and more enjoyable. Could you imagine taking cold showers all the time? We’re lucky.
I’m thankful for my three four cats (until we find a home for Patricia) and my four dogs.
My parents’ house is a zoo, but I love it.
I’m thankful for my closet full of clothes and my shelves full of shoes.
As much as I argue that I need certain things, I really have more than enough.
I’m thankful for books.
They provide us with lessons, new perspectives, and good stories. They can’t be replaced.
I’m thankful for nail polish.
I know this is silly, but I really am. I paint my nails at least once a week, if not more. Whoever invented it is a genius.
I’m thankful for food.
We are lucky to have the ability and resources to stuff ourselves full. Food is so good. I’m glad we have a holiday all about food.
I’m thankful for my family.
They’re a crazy bunch, but I adore them. The holidays would not be the same if I wasn’t spending it with them.
I’m thankful for my friends.
They’re basically family. There’s a small group of them that holds a very special place in my heart. Seth and I are lucky to have ’em.
I’m thankful for Seth.
You knew it was coming. He’s my favorite. I’m a lucky girl.
There won’t be any more posts until next week due to Thanksgiving and our upcoming move.
I hope that no matter where you are or who you’re with, you all have a very happy and delicious Thanksgiving!
