On My List: Black Basics | www.natalie-dressed.com

Shopping has taken a back seat for the time being so I’ve been thinking about the things I really want very carefully. I’ve been wanting most of these items for months now so I’m purposely not buying anything so I can prioritize these purchases eventually. They’re all classic pieces that I’ll use over and over again. Each piece is priced between $50 and $100. For me, that’s the perfect range for classic pieces – it ensures good quality and an expensive look, but you don’t have to spend hundreds of a dollars on a single piece.

LEATHER TOTE | I actually don’t own a real tote bag besides canvas, beachy ones. It’s been on my shopping list this entire year and I keep coming back to this Free People one because I love the way it looks, the size, and that it’s still relatively affordable but also good quality.

BIRKENSTOCKS | I am so happy Birkenstocks are back. I’ve wanted a pair since they first started popping everywhere again but haven’t been able to prioritize the purchase. This will likely be the next thing I buy. They’re the perfect shoe for Santa Cruz!

BLACK JEANS | I have a single pair of black jeans. I love the fit of them but they fall down a lot when I wear them and are also more of a worn in, greyish black. I love this high waisted pair from ASOS because they are a true black. I also love that they’re ankle length and have holes right on the knees – it’s the perfect amount of distressing.

D’ORSAY FLATS | I am not a flats girl, but wearing heels all the time is just not practical, especially with our move to Santa Cruz. Acquiring a few pairs that I absolutely love has now become a priority. This pair from Free People is probably my favorite pair I’ve come across in a long time. I love that they’re classic but still fun and interesting with the embellishment on the heel. Plus, the price point is perfect.

LEATHER WEEKENDER | Like a tote, I don’t own a duffel bag. Any time I have to pack for a quick trip, I have to use one of Seth’s duffels or a beach bag. I’ve been meaning to get a weekender bag forever, but I never pull the trigger. I’ve had my eye on this Sole Society one forever and have heard such great things. At $70, it’s an awesome price point compared to others I’ve come across for a couple hundred bucks.
