Meg’s the cutest!
I was so happy we got to continue our tradition of chopping down our tree this year. We started doing it in 2011 and continued in 2012, but couldn’t make it last year because we moved so close to Christmas. I’m the person that has to have a real tree in the house. You just can’t replace the smell and feel of an authentic Christmas tree. We go to Summit Christmas Tree Farm off Highway 17. There are so many Christmas tree farms in that area, but we’ve always enjoyed this place so we keep going back! It was packed this year but wasn’t very difficult to get in and out because the place is huge. There were a lot of families that had little hangouts setup to eat and have hot chocolate. It was so cute.
We’re actually moving in January to a house my grandparents own (we’ll still be in Santa Cruz) so Seth suggested not decorating this year because we’ll be packing everything up right after Christmas, but I just can’t do it. My house has to feel like Christmas! Plus, we’ll have plenty of time to pack everything up once Christmas is over.
A few notes before I go…
I’ll be sharing some of my favorite Christmas cookie/goody recipes that my mom makes every year on my Instagram so if you’re interested make you sure you follow along! One of my all-time favorite cookies are her pistachio cookies, which I shared here.
I also made a little announcement on Instagram last week. My HIGH VIBE LIVIN shirts will officially have a home in a few weeks when I launch a new graphic apparel brand called Style + Spirit. Make sure you get on my newsletter to be the first to hear the latest news and also follow along the journey on Instagram at @style_and_spirit!
Happy Monday, friends. Make it a good one!
