choppin’ down tress

Anthropologie rain coat | Kohls jeans | BCBG sweater | Old Navy scarf | Diba boots (all old)
And Mikey the cat (she’s a girl).

That’s Kasey, our new housemate, and her boyfriend Jake. Aren’t they cute?!

Roxie attempting to cut down the tree for my parents’ house. Emmy didn’t even try. Seth had to step in.

You drag that tree, Roxie!

Thankful for a strong husband – they come in handy for so many things.

Tip: If a coat is slightly too big, tie the belt behind your back instead of in the front to cinch it in a little.

It’s our first Christmas all moved out of our parents’ and married. As exciting as it it, I definitely miss being a kid during Christmas. It’s traditions like chopping down our tree though that make it special even as an adult. And eventually we’ll be able to share the tradition with our kids (but not for a long while!). If you’re up for it, I highly recommend cutting down your own tree. We went to Summit Christmas Tree Farm – it’s beautiful and there are TONS of trees in every shape and size you could think of. It’s fun to go with a group and make an event of it. Thankfully, I have lots of siblings to drag with us, although my brothers had to work that day. Christmas traditions are one of my favorite things about this time of year. What’s your favorite tradition?
