3 outfit ideas for valentine’s day
Continuing with this week’s Valentine’s theme, today I’m sharing three different outfits that are Valentinesy (I just made that up) without being over the top. They incorporate traditional V-Day colors and symbols (think sparkle, bows, hearts, heels), but are styled in a way that you could wear any of them on any other day of the year and no one would look at you and think you were a walking Valentine. Hope you enjoy!
Perfect for a girls night out or a hot date with your guy, this outfit is bold and punchy, but also easy and unfussy. Guys will like it because they understand jeans and tee – it doesn’t scare them like harlem pants might. Your girls will appreciate it because it’s cool, on trend, and has a bit of sparkle. The best part is you probably have most of these items in your closet already.
If you’re in for a romantic evening, wear a dress! It can be warmed up with tights, a turtleneck, and a coat (let’s be real, if it’s less then 65 degress, no bare legs for me). The burgundy color is right on trend, but also rich and romantic. The bow print and leopard belt add a little flirtiness and keep the outfit from being too serious. A messy bun is a nice contrast to the turtleneck and brings an element of effortlessness to the look.
This outfit is perfect for something low key – a night at home watching movies or maybe a beach bonfire (which is what Seth and I might very well do). It’s Valentine’s Day appropriate without screaming “I’m a human Valentine!” The red, pinks, and “LOVE” print are balanced by the casualness of the jeans, tennis shoes, and beanie. My favorite thing about this outfit is how comfy and warm it is. It definitely encourages cuddling. ;)
