google friend connect

Hi friends!

Just wanted to remind you that Google Friend Connect will be no more after tomorrow. I think it's only going away for people that aren't on Blogger, but I'm not positive. I just wanted to throw out a quick reminder anyway just in case! You can follow me on Bloglovin', or you can subscribe by email or to my RSS feed on the right side of this page.

Thank you, thank you!

i do tuesday: flower inspiration

There's not too many wedding updates right now so I wanted to share some photos from this gorgeous wedding I came across on Style Me Pretty. The flowers are just beautiful, and the mix and match vases and glassware is exactly what I had in mind.

beach bandeaus

I don't know about you guys, but I am SO ready for summer. Spring is always nice, but I wouldn't mind jumping straight to summer dresses, cut-off shorts, beach trips, and barbecues. You might have noticed all the swim suits featured here are bandeaus. That's because I've been keeping my eye out for cute bandeaus that I can wear all summer long. Since the wedding is right at the end of summer, I don't want to have any weird tan lines, which means any straps are out of the questions...at least for most of the summer anyway.

Honestly, I'll probably be living in Victoria's Secret's Madi Push-Up Bandeau. I love that you can mix and match and I think the fit will be good (or at least I'm hoping!). Bandeaus can be tricky for me because I'm smaller chested. Ones that aren't structured enough aren't flattering at all and just squish the little that I have - not cute.  I think the more structured a bandeau is, the more flattering it will be on all body types. I don't think any of us want a uni boob, now do we?

the happiest place on earth

Just a few photos from our day at Disneyland last Friday. I can't believe it will already be Friday again tomorrow - woohoo!

Working at Anthropologie is fantastic and frustrating at the same time. Fantastic because I love the company, the store has incredible displays unlike any other store, and their products are just wonderful. You just feel so good in there and don't want to leave. The frustration comes from trying to resist buying everything you lay your eyes on, especially when you see all the new product coming in (hello spring!). I just wanted to share some of the home items I would love to add to our home. Anthro tends to be a bit pricey (at least for my budget) but my purchases always end up being worth it, especially when it comes to home items. I have several latte bowls, wine glasses, a pair of oven mitts, and Anthro's infamous monogram mug, and I adore them all. Anthro's got a girl's needs covered, that's for sure. Do you have any Anthropologie favorites?

i do tuesday: cake inspiration

Hello there! Sorry for my absence yesterday and Friday - we spent the long weekend in Anaheim for a hockey tournament that Seth was coaching in. We spent all day Friday at Disneyland and the rest of the weekend with friends from Stagecoach that live down there. It was such a fun weekend and was great to get away for a bit. If you follow me on Instagram (at natterbug), then you got updates throughout the weekend. I hope you guys enjoyed the weekend. What did you do?

Today I wanted to share some inspiration for wedding cakes. It's one of the things that I actually almost forgot about. With all the planning and focusing on big things like the venue, dress, and photographer, I thought Oh yeah! We have to get a cake! My taste is really simple. I don't want anything fancy or over the top. I'm really leaning towards a very clean, all white cake with some texture to keep it interesting. To keep costs down, I think we are actually going to go with a dessert table. We will have a small cake to cut and then various desserts and sweets that we love. My favorite cake is yellow cake with chocolate frosting and his is funfetti cake - both are out of a box. We're like five-year-olds. Bake us a cake from a box and we're happy. By having a dessert table, we can both have our favorite cakes, his grandma's apple pie, our favorite candies (I have the biggest sweet tooth), and it gives guests a variety of things to choose from.

All photos are from my Wedding Inspiration board on Pinterest. You can follow me here! If you need an invite, let me know!

tidbits

1. My coral and mint outfit I posted here.
2. A really old picture I found of Seth and I from April of 2005. We were babies! Like his shaggy hair? Ha!
3. Flowers and a $2 cup from Target used as a vase.
4. A successful dinner! I have surprised myself with how well I can actually cook when I try.
5. Nail polish inspired by this.
6. Wine, a card, and Seth's favorite funfetti cake for Valentine's Day. I also had dinner ready to make together (because I didn't trust myself to cook it on my own!).
7.  Wearing my boots to my little brother's 21st birthday celebration.
8. It kind of looks like he's wearing lipstick.
9. Ankle strap sandals make me long for summer and remind of summers as a kid.

My instagram name is natterbug if you would like to follow along!

Do you guys have any fun weekend plans? I know it's not Friday yet, but it's my last day of work this week because tomorrow we are going to Disneyland!!!!! Can you tell I'm excited? We're headed down to LA for the long weekend for a hockey tournament Seth, our good friend Matt, and my little brother are coaching in. We're leaving at 4am tomorrow (gasp!) to get there when Disneyland opens. I'm also hoping to get to see some of our Stagecoach friends. It will be nice to get away for a weekend.

benz, j.crew, zoe, & lhuillier

Fashion Week is always a little overwhelming because there are SO many shows to keep up with...and I'm not even there! These are a few of my favorites from the shows I've mulled over so far. I love the colors and quirk in Chris Benz's collection. J. Crew never fails to leave me wanting everything. Rachel Zoe's pant suits and maxi dresses are oh so gorgeous and make your legs look miles long. Monique Lhuillier always takes my breath away with her gowns, and I'm loving her all black ensembles - powerful but sexy.
