i do tuesday: asking the bridesmaids

Cards I made for each of them.
I wanted to do something cute without spending a lot of money so I designed and printed the cards on my own. Really easy, simple, and still personal.

These adorable hearts came in the goodie bags at the Lab Event so I tucked them into the backs of the envelope for a cute little surprise.

Table decorations from things we already had and a thrifted jewelry box. Seven little candles (bridesmaids) and one big candle (bride). (That isn't supposed to sound conceited.)

The vase/pitcher and candle are mine from Anthropologie, my dad ordered the mason jars from Amazon a long time ago (and had since been used), and the tea lights are my mom's.

The little glass jar filled with hears was an engagement gift from my grandparents. It was given to them as a wedding gift 60 years ago.

Found this gem at Goodwill for $5. My mom whipped out the tea lights from a drawer and the flowers are from her front yard.

A little booklet of images I put together to give the girls a visual of my ideas.

Punch in mason jars. So delicious (it has ice cream in it, how could it not be?).

L to R: Emmy, Christina, Roxie, Ashley, me, Crystal, Chelsea, Monica.

Love these girls! So excited that they will be on this crazy adventure with me. <3

copycat

I came across this picture on Pinterest over the weekend and am now obsessed. It's my inspiration for the week so I thought I would share with all of you. Below is a copycat version made up of all different price points. Happy Monday, lovelies!

four // Fossil spring catalog. Yes, yes, yes.
five // Layers + a necklace I got for Christmas.
six // Just hangin' out. No big deal.

Happy Friday! No friday favorites today, but these are some iPhone pics/Instagrams from the past month or two (my username is natterbug if you wish to follow on Instagram!). Oh and I really don't hate my bangs...that was a reference to this video. If you haven't seen it, you need to - it's hilarious! Have a great weekend you guys!

lovely little things

Just a few things I would love to add to our new apartment...and we haven't even moved in yet. Maybe posting them on my blog will be almost as satisfying as buying them? I know I've blogged about the ampersand print before, but I just love it so much. Wouldn't it be so cute on a shelf with one of the metal "N"s and "S"s on each side? One day, my friends, one day.

i do tuesday: engagement pictures

Hello, lovely ladies! I originally planned to share with you pictures from a couple weekends ago when I invited my bridesmaids over and officially asked them to be in the wedding. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get all the pictures up yet so that will have to wait until next week. Instead, here are some engagement pictures we took on Saturday! My friend Michelle was kind enough to take these for us and could not have picked a more perfect place! The last two are my absolute favorites. Check out her Facebook page to see some of her other work too! Thanks Michelle!

We will probably end up taking some more engagement pictures with our wedding photographer as well. I'm thinking maybe casual on the beach since that's where we got engaged? We will see. Hope you guys are having a good week so far!

Well, what a weekend it was! I had two different appointments to try on dresses and am conflicted between a few different ones. I love them all - how am I supposed to choose? Any advice? Seth and I also got an apartment! We move in on the 1st of February so we will have our hands full the next few weeks. I'm SO excited, but also a bit nervous because I've never moved out before! It will be an adventure for sure. You know what I'm most excited about? Having a pool!

What did you guys do this weekend?

Happy Friday!!!

Can you tell I'm excited that it's Friday? Tonight will be my first time shopping for wedding dresses so I'm super excited and kind of nervous. And tomorrow my amazing friend Michelle is taking some engagement pictures for us. Way excited about that!

Here's a few of my current faves for you. Those Zara shoes...on sale for  $30! What a deal. After passing through the shoe section in Macy's yesterday exclaiming to my sister, "Ohhh, look at these! Omg, no those ones. No. THESE!" I wondered what it is about shoes that is just so powerful. I mean they just have this allure and can easily cause you to spend more than all of your money. Next thing you know your trying to barter with the salespeople. "Here's all my money and I'll throw in my watch and socks to cover the rest." Shoes transport you into this fantasy world where the only thing that matters is these. shoes. right. here. right. now. You could be dying, but it wouldn't matter because the most important thing is that you add this particular pair of shoes to your closet. Without them, well, your life is pretty much worthless. You simply cannot and will not part with them. Please tell me you guys also fall under this ridiculous spell. It's not our fault, really. We're just innocent bystanders falling victim to the magic that is a pair of shoes. Sounds legit, right?

sometimes...

Sweater (way old), Nordstrom. Blouse, black flower ring (similar), & gold bangles (similar), F21. Jeans (similar), Charlotte Russe. Glitter oxfords (similar), Urban Outfitters. Belt (similar), American Eagle. Clutch, Anthropologie. Gold bow bracelet (sold out), JewelMint.

...you just gotta put on something that makes you smile. This blouse was it for me. Hope you have something to smile about today!

you are my sunshine

Sweater (a million years old) & bangle, F21. Jeans, J Brand via Anthropologie. Belt, American Eagle. Wrap bracelet, The Samantha Remington Angel Heart Foundation.

Speaking of sunshine...if sunshine had a human form, it would be Samantha Remington. The wrap bracelet I'm wearing was a gift from my aunt that she got from The Samantha Remington Angel Heart Foundation. Not only is the bracelet cute, it also has an amazing cause. Samantha has undergone two heart transplants, among other surgeries, and she's only 20. years. old. My problems have suddenly disappeared. If you have a moment, you can read Sammy's story here. I think it's a story worth sharing.

i do tuesday: the lab event

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of attending The Lab Event at Cline Cellars in Sonoma with my mom, future mother-in-law, sisters, and Lauren from L.A. in the Bay. We had so much fun! It was such a lovely event.

We ran into Julia from Gal Meets Glam! She is such a sweetheart, and her and her fiance are the cutest things ever. She is going to be such a gorgeous bride.

Below are photos of the event including the runway show.

Awesome, right? Great job to the ladies who rocked Sarah Seven's amazing dresses on the runway: Erin, Anne, Britt + Whit, Krystal, Taylor, and Natalie. And a huge thank you to everyone who put the event on. I attended another bridal fair a couple weekends ago at the Santa Clara Convention center and while there was a lot of good information, The Lab Event put it to shame. There was such a great selection of vendors at The Lab Event that really matched my aesthetic and style. It was a great source of inspiration, ideas, and information. There was delicious food and drinks, everyone was extremely friendly and approachable (and not pushy), and, to top it all off, we got fantastic goodie bags. I was really impressed with the goodie bags because they were filled with fun things that you can actually use. There was a homemade sugar scrub, thank you cards, a few baked goods, and some adorable handmade items among other things. It was a great night overall, and I would recommend attending the next one to any bride to be. Now I can't wait to start making decorations!
