Tomorrow's the big day - the start of New York Fashion Week. I'm totally envious of anyone that gets to go, but am not envious of the pressure they face when deciding what to wear. I'm pretty positive it would cause me a lot of anxiety. I mean, you're surrounded by some of the most stylish people in the country. No pressure.
The inspiration there is undoubtedly endless and overwhelming. The looks here are all from last fall during the Spring 2012 shows. So many different kinds of looks yet they all work. The outfits of the NYFW attendees I'm typically drawn to all seem to have three elements:
1. They all look put together but effortless at the same time. It doesn't look like they're trying too hard.
2. The outfit represents and is consistent with the wearer's personality. It accentuates who they truly are.
3. The swagger and confidence with which the outfits are worn are what ultimately make them perfect.
I can't wait to see what both the runways and the streets will bring this week. To all of you lucky ones headed to New York, have a blast!

ReplyDeleteGreat collection of pictures! You're right, the commonalities of all these pictures is that each woman has a certain air of confidence about her and no look is perfect.
